Our Norcold N611v has always worked great on 120v. The last 3 days it will run on electric for 6 hours or so then automaticly shuts off and does not change over to gas, just shuts off. Any ideas?

I never had a norcold. this was next door to me. I remember the issue was caused from sitting and either driving or turn it off for maybe 4 days that information came from a mobile tech. happened a few years ago. the magnet pulled the switch back to on and the red light was on. Meaning it was working.

So Larry did you put in a new switch to replace the magnet or is there a magnet behind the push button switch. Where did you get the replacement magnet?

I had 3 neighbors one winter that had the norcold problem. The fix was a magnet that pulled the switch to on . I have done this 3 years ago for another neighbor. the tv tech he called wasn't available for a few days but after it was working again I called the tech to let him know what we did. He came unglued at first because he was afraid if yellow was in view that wasn't the proper thing to do. I quickly explained that was not the case as I did know what that meant. The difference from your is your gas lite his didn't. chevman
