Onan 5500

Hello all,

I have a 2009 raptor 300mp 5th wheel.

I had a problem on my last trip out where the generator shut off and could not get it started.

I did some troubleshooting and saw there was no fuel delivery. I replaced the fuel filter and replaced the fuel pump to the new pump that replaces the part number from my original fuel pump.

With the fuel hose disconnected from the generator I held the Prime button and got no fuel . So my problem still remains.

Any suggestions where to start next?

Did it damage the hose or could you just move it?

Problem solved.. Had to pull about all of the underbelly insulation down to track down the fuel line hose. Some how the hose got in between the water tank and the support bracket for the tank so when the tank was full of water. The fuel supply was cut off due to the hose being pinched... Have no idea how the hose got there.

No low fuel shutoff on a toyhauler. The genny tank isn't tied to anything else that needs gas.
That is only mohos that the genny's feed off the main fuel tank.

Maybe there is a filter closer to the tank that is clogged?
I have a separate filter on my Warrior.

Maybe a line got a crack and you are sucking air?
Maybe the pickup in the tank came off?
Take the fuel cap off and make sure the tank isn't over pressurized.
Out of gas?

You say you held the prime button and got no fuel. Did you hear the pump operating? If you did then I would wonder if you have a clogged filter IN the tank. I do not know IF there is one but that would be my first thought

Oil level is good, and I have 3/4 tank of fuel.
