I don't see wha problem with that unit if the trailer was empty it probably wasn't all that heavy and it looks as though he had brakes and lights rigged up.

I seen something similar between Winnipeg and the border. A 1 ton Dodge hauling grain in a similar fashion.

Wow..just wow. Why would you go thru the trouble of rigging an air tank and that "hitch" when you could have hired someone to move the trailer? I bet the fines are more than paying a legit OTR owner/operator.

Here's an Article About The Incident.

The traffic stop was in Canada. It didn't say what charges were filed.
A different article said the driver was charged for an oversize load violation.

With air bags he would have been good to go IMO!
