Rubber roofs

I have a 5th wheel seasonal and is underneath a pine tree, and there on the roof there is black kinda mold on on the roof, and it is has a rubber blanket on it ,can I paint over it so it does not leak, and do I use rubber roof , just curious,

Pressure wash then coat with rubber sealer. It's all diy!

My C had the black on the roof after a few years. I tried to clean it off with spic and span, and also 409, both with a scrub brush. Neither worked very well for me. What does work is a high pressure washer, set on a lower pressure. Just spray it off using plain water, Cleaned up very nice and was way too easy.

Most likely it's not a black mold at all. It only looks like that as the white "powdery" outer layer wear away from the black rubber roof.
