Stopover half-way Dallas and Destin FL Via I-10 on way back

For any of you that have made the trip between these two cities, any suggestions for a good half-way stopping point about midway so we can break the trip into two days for a family of 4 (two kids 13/16) with a dog?

Gotta be big rig friendly, a pool would be a great thing for the family to relax while I get set up and fire up the grill. Any specific parks or cities would be great if you have any recommendations for us.

Realize it's a holiday weekend but hoping to find a place to stop for an overnight. Let me hear your suggestions!

What I do is bring up my pending trails on the GOOGLE MAP and put RV CAMP GROUNDS in the search form. Then as I move the map along the route it will bring up all the available camping locations near the route.

Its easy to use the mouse then and click on the ones of interest for more information.

Then when someone recommends a new place you can a better idea about it...
