Thor 5th Avenue Black Water Tank

We own a 2000 32' 5th Avenue and have problems with the Sani-Flush system. I have been trying to locate the unit in the tank that wprays the water to clean the tank. All of my tanks are covered with a 2" layer of foam. The system will not allow any water to enter the tank and I have located the check valve and it will be the first change out, however, I feel it is the sprayer itself, plugged with paper, etc. Any assistance would appreciated

This is what the flush nozzle looks like minus the yellow fittings.
The nozzle can be 2 places.
1. On top the tank and on the side
2. If on top the correct install place is on the opposite end of the dump exit fitting which means on the passenger side of the RV
3. If on the side, it will be between the 3/4 and full top of tank also at either the sides or rear side of tank.
4. FOAM is a PITA when attempting to work on a Tank. But, you should be able to find and follow the 1/2 inch plastic pex water line that comes from the Check valve down thru the floor and goes to the tank. Follow that line until it goes to the tank, then chip away the foam to access the nozzle. I would bet you will find the nozzle holes clogged up. I would rather replace than removing and cleaning out, but they can be easily cleaned once removed. Saving $35. Just messy. WEAR Latex GLOVES! Doug

The first 2 years, ours worked fine. Then, in 2019,it didn't work. I changed the check valve, but that wasn't it. I tried chemicals that are supposed to clean everything but they didn't help. Ever since, I would try it every once in a while and all of a sudden, this year it opened up again, without doing anything different.

Welcome! Some use a wand through the toilet to clean their black tank. Others, like me, fill the black tank and then dump, and repeat. That’s clean enough IMO.
