transition from travel trailer to toy hauler fifth wheel

So we travel with our hang glider... and have decided we really do need toy hauler space for the 19 foot glider. We don't care if it extends into the main living area as long as the slide doesnt block it. We currently have a cruiser rv travel trailer and we pull it with our glider on top of the truck. With a fifth wheel, we lose that option of course! So now to find a well built fifth wheel toy hauler (ford f250 diesel). Overwhelmed by how big so many are -- we don't need much room inside. Want a big dinnette and a full size queen. Rest isnt needed. We'd use the garage space for work space when the glider is out (we both work from home and/or the rv). Best bet in the 32 or so foot range? Assuming want moderate to high quality -- but no, not an airstream! Excited to finally be on the forum. I'm an editor with Dog Fancy and write a lot about dog travel and RVs. Thanks all -!

A primary problem you will have is finding a 5th wheel toy hauler that doesn't exceed the payload of your truck. When I did some research there were only a few that worked with my F250, and they only had 10' garages. I would recommend you research your truck's payload and what it weighs fully fueled with passengers and whatever else you carry. Then subtract that from its GVW and that is what you can have as a pin weight. It will surprise you how little that is.

Don't rule out a TT TH, as that will no doubt fit your truck's ability.

Another option might be to acquire a truck cabover camper and a fully encolsed cargo trailer. A 20 or 22 foot trailer would fit your 19 foot glider. That might work as well, if not better, for you if you are overwhelmed by how big a fifth wheel toy hauler is and you really don't need all the rest of the room they provide.
