I have done some searching and haven't found any info on these. 17.5 Wheels
17.5 tires
I'm looking at the 215/75R17.5 Load Range H Sailun S637 Radial Tire for $265 These tires are crazy tough with a rating of 4800lbs. When talking with the guys at this site they say if you pull less than 10k miles per year these tires will last 7 years in which he recommends all trailer tires should be changed out. From what I gather these are a commercial size.

If you want to stay with 16's they also have these 16"

I can't say if Goodyear is standing behind the current Marathons, but they've paid for repairs and supplied new tires for past failures of Marathons (1996 Jayco Designer 3030RKSS) and G614 RSTs (2004 DRV Mobile Suites 36RE3). They just covered the failure of a G114 on our daughter and son-in-law's 2011 Mobile Suites 36TKSB3. IMHO, it's worth submitting the Marathon failure to Goodyear's system.

GY is the only one that does and will pay for non road hazard damages that I know of.

I wonder of GY Marathons have the same warranty?

I used them when up sizing my 16" "G" tires and wheels to 17.5" GY "H" tires and Alcoa wheels. I talked to Scott. Tires were balanced and shipped to me on a pallet ready to install. Nice fresh tires. I also changed out my 9/16" wheel studs to 5/8". I also bought a steel wheel and off brand 17.5" tire for a spare from them. I sold the 5 16" tires and wheels on CL for $1,000.

Maybe, maybe not. My new equipment trailer came with load range E, 80 psi tires, but the wheels are rated for 110 psi.

Following this thread makes me smile. As we prepare our search for a new toy hauler, one thing I can't get past are the wheels most manufacturers are using these days. For me personally, they're ugly.

I know this is a vanity issue with me but if I'm dropping anywhere from $55,000-$65,000, I would like it to at least look like I want it to. Many are putting the G rated tires on but they're stuck in the black wheel world.

Now for a fair price, I can have some good old-fashioned shiny aluminum wheels that I like. Thanks for sharing that website.

I agree 17.5 wheels appear to be over kill.
I have 16", G rated,110 PSI Sailun's on my OEM rims

The problem is you are overloading those tires at 80psi

How do you know that? What are my rims rated for?
3 seasons and no issues since going to G rated tires

I've been doing the same research on tires. Simpletire.com has the Sailun s637 215/75R17.5 (part no. 8244379) for $126.28 per tire, plus shipping. They have the 235/75R17.5 (part no. 8244381) for $149.66 plus shipping. They do not have the ST235/80R16s at this time (I called). I'm hoping Simpletire will have them by the time my 5th wheel arrives and at a similar price to the ST235/85R16s (part no. 5540992) at $121.99 per tire). FYI, as I understand it, Sailun renamed the two 80 profile tires as ST tires so as to avoid Fed. Excise Taxes.

85psi is the minimum for the GY "G" tire. If your rig came with E's 85 is most likely the proper pressure for your rig. I went from GY "E" to GY "G" on my Avion with 80psi rims and ran 85psi with the G tires and had perfect wear with thousands of miles.

What is your tire rated at? At what psi? a g tire rated at 4085lbs at 110psi is only good for 3152lbs at 85psi

GY "G" tires are rated at 3,170# @ 85psi and 3,750# @ 110psi.
