first off, you guys can either make this a single day trip (since it's local for most SoCal'ers) or make this a weekend trip?? i was thinking June 22 & 23. I'm most likely able to go those days, but if we can get a RV.net "official" get together date, I'm in as well!!! Also need to figure out where to setup since I would assume the Miller Canyon staging area might be a bit small for a large group.

Also, FYI the big bear dual sport ride is that same weekend and I think about 300 riders show up for that so some of the trails might be crowded.

Thanks for the heads up!

They'll be starting off at Big Bear Convention Center I'm not sure which trails they be on yet? I've emailed Miguel M Burgi to find out which trails they'll be on, we don't need any headon's!!

sounds good! thx dirtclods for the info!!! next on the list is, the meeting time and the time we leave off to go riding? just in case some stragglers come late, they can take off riding to meet up w/ us!

Projected weather it could be as high as 80 I'd would (Suggest) a group hug at no later then 7am BS then saddle up and ride at 8am if your not there your not going with us at 8am.

If someone wants to lead quads or UTV, Rhino's ect' please step up.

Your thoughts?

Ok some thoughts if we plan to do this. If I can make it I'd be more then Happy to get you all lost! I ride a CRF 450 R I'm a senior expert rider. But I ride my like a novice now do to my age approaching 55 anyways I'll show up in my gray Dodge 1500 short bed truck and I'll fly the American flag. Depending on weather it gets a bit dusty up there so if we lead out in groups of five. Look for two way traffic and give them the finger or fingers maybe a fist. I'll explain more about the at the staging area. I'll grab a homeless person and we'll write on the back of his card board RV.NET because it seems there a lot more people flying the flag today. Prepare your bike before you go air oil gas and so on. Don't bring up a piece of C R A P and expect to go riding with me. If you think you faster go ahead of me cuz I'm coming back in one piece It's too hard to get life flight in those wooded areas. This is not a RACE but a ride. Bring water on your person phone and maybe a pair of shorts and a small towel if you care to jump in the water to cool down. Note: I not in charge!! As we approached this date I sure more details well emerge.

I might come up for a day trip. Would there be different riding groups, bikes, quad, SXS? Being on a bike I don't want to wait around.

For a large group you'll want to stage at Pinnacles OHV Staging Area.

Wish I could come camp but I will try to make a day trip with the boat. If you get something set in stone let me know. I own C.W. Feed and Pet Supply in Rancho Cucamonga and I will post it on my board and on my propane tank for all the local RV'ers to see.

We have a large number of local and "passer-by" RV'ers stop in for propane, firewood and Pet supplies. I would love to pass the info on and even come up and have a soda with everybody. It is only 30 minutes for us.

Just make sure that all the "Out of Towner's" know how tight the road is east of the 15 Fwy. I know I have to cross the center line on some of the curves for the first few miles.

My family and I are always looking for R.V. trip friends or just friendly faces at the campground. Let me konw if I can help get the word out.
