Wilderness 255BHS Slide Adjustment

Hi everyone,

We have a 2004 Wilderness 255BHS with a large slide. There are a couple of issues with the slide:

1: When it retracts, the top of the slide makes contact about 4-5 inches prior to the bottom. This results in the bottom getting pulled in while the top sort of "hinges". One of the results is that where the dinette bench is attached to the outer slide wall, it pulls the wall paneling apart slightly when retracted:

I'm wondering if the bracket between the dinette and the wall was a stock part or if it was added by a previous owner. It seems to be the culprit for pulling the wall apart, should it be removed and should the slide be adjusted up or down to get the top and bottom to meet closer to the same time?

2: The entire slide is off center by about 1/4 of an inch which prevents one of the side seals from flipping over during extension or retraction. I can see that the slide is adjusted to the max already, almost like the factory misaligned the entire motor and rail unit. The only good solution seems to be to remove the brackets, cut them apart and reweld them in a more centered position to allow for further slide adjustment.
