On the east side of the mountain is Play Del Oro which we've stayed at numerous times over the decades. It is a very clean no frills RV park right on the beach. Great swimming at high tide and lots of tide pools at low tide. A couple of nearby small cafe's and bars. This side of the mountain is rather low key, much quieter than the west side.

On the west side is the busier area mostly along Sandy Beach with high rise resorts and RV park. Far more crowded this is where the action is. Numerous restaurants from low end to high. Nightclubs, bars etc. are all nearby.

www.rvparkreview.com has reviews for parks in Rocky Point (Click on the Mexican flag to get started): Concha Del Mar, Playa Bonita, Playa Del Oro. These three are rated the best in the area. We used to go to Playa Bonita but that was thirty years ago.
