We recently purchased a 03 National Tradewinds LTC with only 39,000 miles and noticed the dash AC is not ver cold. I found the fittings and from the threads I was told it was the old R12 Freon? There is a high and low fitting. How would find out how much Freon I would need ?

An 03 should be 134a. Ford or Chevy

High side is 16mm fitting, and the low side service port is a 13mm fitting for 134a and they are Q-disconnect type only.

low side R12 will always be 7/16-20 fitting

high side R12 can be 7/16-20 to 16 (1/4)or 3/8-20

R12 will not just connect to a 134a system. If must be adapted.

Post a picture of the two fitting. Or compare it to your other vehicles.

If you can find Freon, you can't afford it.
Have your system changed to the new refrigerant.
