1975 APOLLO CLASS A INFO

Howdy, I'm in the market for a vintage Class A, and found one "@the right price".it's a 1975 Apollo Dodge 440, in fair condition. I have to drive 200 miles to look at it, and was wondering about the coach end, I know plenty about the Dodge chassis. How well built were the Apollo's back in '75? What was their worse parts? Were they stable, strong body, noisy, good/bad floor plans, etc.?
Thanks Much, Gus

Apollo is one of the top of the line motorhomes of it's day. Probably sold for as much as a 3 bedroom house in 75!

Some even came with built in blender in the countertop! That was fancy option!

Have a great time camping!

Money can't buy happiness but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a

Porsche or Country Coach!

If there's a WILL, I want to be in it!

I havn't been everywhere, but it's on my list.

Have you ever owned a Classic MH. They are a lot of fun but fixing and finding parts can be frustrating. The Dodge Chassis has it's problems. Hard to find thermostat, warping exhaust manifolds, burned plug wires, overheating, bad carburetors and more. Some of those problems can easily be solved. Some are more difficult. The wiring in many of these units is often not installed correctly. I hope you enjoy fixing things.

Hi--we owned one for several years. It was an extremely well built coach. If you like classic vehicles, you can't do much better than the Apollo. That 440 is a dream, but it sure is thirsty! We sold the Apollo to update and have a different layout, but sometimes, I wish we hadn't. Go for it! Good luck!
