1977 Fan Camper heater board

Have a board that is located behind the panel box of the camper that controls the furnace heater. The board is burned, can repair it but need to know what the IC component is that is located on the board. For the most part all that there is , resistors of various values,a few diodes,a trim pot, .047uf 200v caps and a 2n4424 gen purpose transistor. What I don.t know is the value or description of the 4 lead IC , only 3 leads used. can someone point me in the right direction here.thanks.

Thank you Chris Bryant , time will tell if this is correct LOL. The 103544 board is indeed the same board, now i will need to find one , this one is pretty toasted.LOL

Thanks for your help, I did identify this board with your help. It is indeed a charge board, and yes your 103544 is the same board, their part #802896. The component is an SCR ,its part number is C106y4 the Y i think has to the year and the 4 has to do with the package type.It has a peak forward blocking voltage of 30 volts and a peak reverse voltage of 30 volts.It will take a 20 amp surge and a peak forward current of 75 amps.All this is according to some of the spec sheets I have researched. Yes , i believe you are correct, it is the same board as you stated, part # 802896 is what it appears to be according to the service manual you so kindly linked me to. You say you cannot read any numbers on your IC chip either. That was an old thing done way back then to try to keep the work in their shop, simple ICs were sometimes covered up with a black marker and other time I have seen then actually scuff surface with sanding material to hide the numbers. I wish I could repair this one , my board is the 4 pin board. Thanks for your help, at least I have a phone number I can try to reach them at.

A shot in the dark here- I'm betting that is the charge control board for an old PD converter- if you look at this service manual for obsolete converters and scroll down to pc board ID they give 102508 as a 4 pin, no led board.
I have a new 103544 board here- listed as equivalent, but not sure how close is close, plus I cannot read the numbers on the IC, which actually only has 3 leads on my board.
Regardless, that manual has schematics.


On edit- on my paper version of the manual it lists that as C106Y4 SCR.

Nothing on ic chip to designate what it is,board pretty much burned but still repairable. on back side of board is a number in black marker 48862 and a number in like a raised solder PD-102508, the 0 before the 8 is what I am assuming is filled with solder so 0 coukld be B or whatever. also notice TN 3 not sure if that is something or not. Is there anyway I can post a picture here or to a member if I don't have thoes rights yet? Again assuming that it probably has something to do with the vans furnace voltage I think it may have a way of knowing if it is operating on 12dc or 110vac when van is plugged into electric service.Again I am making an assumption.I looks like a D PAK or possibly D PAK 2 chip and that is a guess at best but does resemble that chip in a picture I saw.

Any way you can get more information for us: type of heater, fuel type, brand, serial number, etc? Someone may be able to find a schematic diagram or additional information. Are any numbers available on the burned component?
