Our dimmer/switch for our dining room light in our RV needs repair but we're not sure how to remove it. There are no screws visible on the cover....assume it just snaps off but would like a bit more info...does anyone know how to remove the backplate?

??? Have you actually tried this? AC dimmers are a different animal than DC dimmers.

I have a 2006 Coachmen Aurora. My dinning table dimmer is a slider with a rocker on off switch.. You pull the knob off the slider switch. Than the cover plate pryes off. The mounting plate under the cover is held down with four screws.

Some backplates are removed by removing a nut on the shaft which is hidden by the knob. Pull the knob off to access it.
