looking for anyone that knows how the TV cables are run from factory on a 2001 newmar mountain air Diesel unit
\\I know where the park cable in is;; I know where the front and rear TV cables are;; the problem is the cable outlet inside the MH is no where near where the wineguard splitter system is mounted that goes to front and rear TV. The roof antenna system is located where the TV cables and wineguard splitter are so this whole deal makes no sense to me? this unit has been used by this couple for 7 years and they have to run the park cable through the front DS window to get TV

AS someone who has repaired Newmars since 1994, ALL the coax cables go to the front overhead where the Winegard multicoax box is located. IF you have the Winegard switch box, there is a inlet marked Cable. THAT comes from the outside Park Cable input. NOW, the problem is, odds are in the past 15 years, some idiot went in and moved all those cables around and did not label them. So, what you have to do is use a Coax cable finder and determine which of all those Coax cables are the Park Cable. When you state the Park cable system is NOT near the Main system you are correct. What Newmar did back then was to run the Park Cable to the Overhead(usually above the Pass seat). They then had another coax running from the overhead to the Winegard multi system. You then had a short 6 inch coax jumper that jumped the 2 coax plates in that overhead to the Front Winegard system. The REASON for that was, if you wanted to install a Tripod Sat dish, you could remove the jumper. use the Park cable to the Tripod dish and then the OUT TO TV coax to the coax feed to the Winegard switch box. Last, those 2 coax plates WERE identified by Newmar by stickers on the plate. Doug

thanks a bunch Doug ;;the 6-8 inch coax was missing;; once installed
all is well;; much appreciated

My cables were unmarked and the PO had disconnected most of them and got many of them incorrectly installed on the back of the switch box. What I did was find every cable I could throughout the RV and using parts I had adapted from cables I bought at thrift stores, found where each cable went.

What I did was cut off the connectors from cables I bought, usually under $0.50 each, and soldered a 1000 ohm resistor across the wires. Plug that into the various jacks throughout the RV and then used a DVM to find the other end of a cable that measured 1,000 ohms. Than marked its location.

Of course this was all made easier by removing as much equipment from the entertainment cabinets as possible. Including the TV. Some cables could just be eyeballed that way too.

What I found in my case was that the input cable from the basement had been incorrectly connected to one of the selector switches outputs instead of the main input.

Good luck, and have fun!
