I am in the market to purchase a Class A and have located this very nice Newmar. It has the 300 Cummins on Freightliner chassis and I am wondering if this is underpowered for a 38ft motorhome? I welcome comments from anybody with a similar setup, i.e. Freightliner and 300HP Cummins.

If 300 horses are not enough you can use a chip or a programer to boost it all the way up to 400 horses if you like.

As a 04 it should have the 8.3L ISC engine with close to 1000 ft/lbs of torque... not the 5.9L ISB with 660. ASSUMING a ISC it's plenty for that weight coach.
