I can buy a 2008 Monaco Cayman 39 PBT with 24K with all optional equipment. My friend bought it and his new business takes all his time. He will sell it to me for 82K which is way below book value. He just wants to get rid of it and put the money back into his business. Is this a good deal? I was told my a Monaco factory rep that this model has been known to have a trailer arm problem resulting with some RVs rear axel cracking. He said the cost to replace the trailer arms was around 3K. Anyone know anything about this. Thanks for any input. John Lee
I have a 06 Caymen and had the trailing arms and ride enhancement kit installed. The total cost was $6000. I would do the arms but hold off on the ride kit unless the ride you have bothers you. The difference in the ride didn't justify the cost Imo.
