Hey good folks,
I'm interested in a 2000 '40 American Tradition with the 300hp cummins. It's got 75,000 miles on it and it's in pristine condition with a lot of upgrades. Is that a lot of miles for a 300hp cummins? Worth a serious look or pass on it? Price is $55,000.

~Thanks, John

We had an '04 Monaco 40' with 3 slides and the same engine. Ours was probably heavier then the one you're looking at due to the slides. I had no problem towing a full size truck with that MH.

No it's not a lot of miles. Might be a tad underpowered but it'll get you up the hills, just not too quickly. A Cummins facility can hook up the engine and give you tons of info. Check for maintenance records. Also, look at tire date codes. 6+ yr old tires need to be replaced....Dennis
