I-20 E&W is a two-lane exit on the right. Right lane of exit goes West, left lane of two-lane exit goes East. Best to look at Google (or Bing) maps for clarification.

On I-75 / I-85 connector there are right lanes that are exit only ie Williams St. You'll want to be more "centered" as you approach 10th St. or you could get hemmed in.

BAD way to go, especially with an RV. Wayyy too many traffic lights and locals that like to poke along. This "bypass" isn't what it used to be.

Stick with the interstate, avoid peak times if possible. Center lanes in some stretches might be your friend.

One more note...I believe both I20 west and I20 east exits at the same location. I don't travel that way often so hope I'm remembering right. The right most lanes go west and left lanes go east.

Sounds like you will be coming into Atlanta on I75 southbound and need to go I20 eastbound to Augusta. The only exit you will need to take is the I20 exit just as you get south of Grady hospital. There are 2 (maybe 3) right hand lanes that are part of the exit onto I20. It is not a left lane exit. The I20 lanes run a fairly long way so it is more than just an exit ramp. That should make getting into the lanes easier. Just watch for some right side exit only lanes as you go through downtown. Maybe try to stay in second or third from right lane as you get into downtown. They have painted big interstate looking onto the roadbed of lanes so you can see which interstate you will end up on as they split after going through downtown.

BELOW IS FOR TRAVELING AUGUSTA TO ADAIRSVILLE...YOUR TRIP HOME???
Assuming you will be traveling back through Atlanta headed to Adairsville, when you are on downtown connector north of downtown traveling northbound, the I75 & I85 lanes cross when they separate. So, even thought I75 runs west (to the left) of I85, you will need to be in the right hand lanes.

Can you go around Atlanta? Sure.
Can you avoid the traffic? Nope.
Atlanta traffic is terrible. And it's terrible for most of the day, period. One little hiccup and it's backed up for miles, and they have a LOT of hiccups.

Just mapped Modoc. Forget the Ga20. Your heading towards Savannah. I75s, 285 south to75 south, stay on 75s to I16 east.

Sometimes going downtown >10am and popping out I-20 can be good but the I-75 / I-85 "connector" can start backing up early afternoon (>2pm). If you go that route start getting over when you see Edgewood and Capitol Ave. I-20 E & W share the same exit. Stay in the left lane of the exit for I-20 E.

I-285 shouldn't be bad until . . . . hmmm, same 2pm where it might get a little backed up at I-85.

After 3pm you're hosed everywhere.

Been there, did that for 19 years.
