Backup camera & monitor wiring

I have a 2006 Fleetwood Excursion with a Weldex b&w monitor that is intermittent. I sent the camera and monitor to the great guys at RV Cam and it tested fine. They suggested that the ground might be lose and check that it's tight.
After trying to walk the bundles of wire to a terminal point I get lost, so my question is any one that might know is where do they terminate; under the dash or under the hood outside above the generator? The cable between the camera and monitor is new by the way.

is the monitor that goes on off or the camera

the camera gets its power from the monitor, if the cable is good an the camera is good, then the problem is in the monitor

if the monitor goes on off, and the testers pronounced it good
then the ground is in the wiring going into the monitor

the manual papeer or online should list which wire is battery negative
find it at the monitor cable
cut it
run a new wire from a know good ground
splice together
it is unlikely that the monitor ground is "all by its lonesome"
if nothing else is giving your trouble then, its a connection in the harness

a new wire is the best fix
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

Thanks for the reply, I have replaced the cable with a new one, that is why I have taken the advice to check the ground as suggested, it I could find the terminal.

Mime did the same and others have commented on this also. What I did.

Got my ladder and undid the 4 screws in the rear to the camera. There is a cord of 4 wires connecting the camera, these are spliced, soldered and shrink wrapped. I undid all of that and reconnected, soldered etc. works like a charm. I guess one wire had frayed. No problems since. I hope this does it for you.
