We are driving from So Cal to Eureka, MO in just a few weeks. This is a one-way trip since we are relocating to MO. We are driving our new Thor Hurricane gas powered RV. What is the best route to take? Northern route through CO or southern through Texas? Any tips are appreciated!

So. Cal is a big area. Are you leaving from the LA area or San Diego. It makes a big difference.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

I wouldn't ever advise moving to Misery. But since you're determined, take the northern route in order to escape the heat index that's bound to be very high 'in a few weeks'.

Have a great trip!

I guess it depends on how you want to travel. A fast trip just to get to Eureka, then I-40 to I-44 would be the best route. But, if you want to sight see and take your time, then pull out the map and check out some good spots. Also, you might want to look at doing the Route 66 Alignment. Lots of nice things to see on RT. 66 and it goes from So. Cal, all the way to Chicago. (but you can stop at Eureka on 66). Enjoy your trip!

My family always use I-40 & I-44 to go from LA area through Missouri into Indiana.
