Good afternoon everyone. Hot and humid here in the mid section of the country. Time to head north.
I recently bought a 2015 Thor Motorcoach Chateau 31W. I wanted a folding alumium step. Ordered one from CW on June 11. Still not here.ye yet. Really not here yet? I mean was it sent on a back of a snail or turtle. When you can order from other online sellers and get it in 2 to 5 days. INSANE. I decided to call to find out where is my order. WWWEEELLLLLLLL almost after an hour on hold I finally talked to someone. GGGGGEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZ ALMOST AN HOUR. INSANE. The lady who took my call said my order is suppose to be delivered tomorrow.15 days. REALLY? I asked the lady what the heck was the problem, why sooooooo lllloooonnnnggggg. Same story that I have seen on this site. A new computer program launch and they are working out the bugs. Maybe they should have tested it a little longer before launch.
Will I buy from CW online again. PROBABLY NOT!!!!!!!!. Not when I can get it from another online seller in a very short.
What a shome. I have heard and read a lot about the mess CW is having., sure hope they get it right soon.
Off my soap box.

Someone will make big money by making a large number of RV parts available via Amazon Prime (fulfillment by Amazon).

I like Camping World and respect Marcus but their catalog/website order and delivery system just doesn't hold a candle to what Amazon provides.

When something breaks, I just want a replacement that's easy to order, arrives quickly, and comes at a fair price. Too often Camping World messes up 2 or 3 of those.

When we ordered from CW before (never will do business with them again...long story...feel free to PM and ask), we always received things in a timely manner. However, their computer system never changed from "Processing" to "Shipped".

Amazon is great and we have been Prime members for a couple years, but some things are not "Prime eligible" for shipping and I will see that it is sometimes (not often) cheaper through CW. But I will usually go a different route. I just purchased some Dicor product through Dyers. The primer and sealant arrived great. The rubber roof cleaner had to be shipped 3 different times because the first 2 times it leaked all over the place, even though it was in a plastic bag. They handled it without issue though and were quick to do so. Was on the phone the first time for about 2 minutes with them. They saw the refusal to accept delivery from FedEx and immediately shipped out another. The next one I saw an exception on the delivery notice online from FedEx and replied to the email that it had been shipped. They responded back within an hour saying they would reship again. GREAT SERVICE!

Amazon works for us also. Parts and products at good prices with a better variety.
We frequented the Camping World in Mission Texas during our winter stays, but they saw fit to close and tear down the store a couple of years ago. At the time they had no real competition in the Rio Grande Valley and been there for at least 25 years. Guess it was too far outside their normal delivery system, with stores it seems like every 100 miles.

Don't rush to the new CW formally Tom Raper just yet, we were there a week or so ago and the store is not stocked yet. Counter guy said they should get their truck mid July. Must have gotten caught up in the whole CW computer mess.
I was at Colerain RV today picking up a part we ordered from Jayco and they looked to be pretty well stocked.

Jim -

This might be bad news since you spend a lot at CW but they are in Cincinnati now. CW bought out Tom Raper. So the Raper up on Route 4 in Fairfield is now a CW. I know that's a haul from Amelia but a lot closer than Indy. I just got my second CW mailer today actually. I'm in Loveland by the way. Personally, I favor Holman then Colerain closely behind.
