Carefree automatic awning

I have been parked in a park for the past week with 30 amp shore power. This morning I awoke and heard the sound of a small electric motor running. I follow the sound to the source which was the motor that deploys and retracts my Carefree awning. The awning was fully retracted at the time. I tried to deploy the awning and it started and stopped a couple times. I released the button and it started to retract by itself, then stopped again. I then pushed the button to retract and it did so. I then exhausted all my knowledge about this item and unplugged it. This stopped the motor from running. Thought I would check with you guys, who know a lot more the I do, before I start screwing around with it. Thanks in advance.

I recall reading about this issue a while back but don't recall the details. Either here on this forum or on iRV2.com.

As I recall i was a motor problem. Internal switch or something.

Perhaps a forum search would help.

Plug it back in and see if the power cycle reset it 😉
