Hello, we have a used 2000 Mountain High Residency Model 3790. We need to replace the coach battery. We purchased the coach used from a private person with no paperwork. The previous owner put in a regular car battery. Any assistance on the group number for this coach battery? Thank you in advance for any help.

We have a single standard 12 volt car battery from Napa that we use for starting the engine (coach) of our Class A, house side are a couple pairs of Interstate 6 volt golfcart batteries. Most any decent car battery from any auto parts retailer should work to start your engine, diesel may use a couple of them to get the job done. We used a Napa battery only because they were the nearest to us when our coach battery bit the dust. They tested it and it was a goner, 10 minutes later we were back at our rig and installing Napa replacement, has been performing flawlessly ever-since.

I would check the website of the battery manufacturer for measurements, then measure the compartment to see what will fit. The bigger, the better generally. Couple 6 volt golf cart batteries are usually a good choice or a pair of group 27s

Are these battery for the Body or engine. If you have two they could be 6volt or 12volt depending on how they are wired.
