You hit the nail on the head. I think that you can shave an inch or two off it with different choices of AC or sat systems. That is why I suggested the Phenix. It is the same and about 6-7 inches shorter. I think the shortest the IH can be is 13'3" which is fine. Depends on what you want on top. It us the sat dish that pushes it up a bit.

There are less then 100 of them out there. The IH is a new beast. We have looked at it closely and decided when we upgrade we will go with the Phenix as it is shorter. The IH is 13'6" and the Phenix is less but built the same way. the key it is floor plan you want as a specific but a Phenix is just shorter and has the raised slide floor. They increased the height of the IH to have flat slide floors the rest is the same in construction. There are a number of owners who have ordered one but they take 6 months to build and they only tooled it up a few years ago. You will have a hard time finding them on here but maybe one will chime in.

John, the bridges on the turnpikes in the northeast are set at 13'6". I think our new coach is 13'3". Our current is 12'11".

SRJ, if a new IH-45 is that tall, I think I would reconsider it as you couldn't use it on the turnpikes.

Well there are a couple FT owners on here and 2833 owners on the forum over there. In fact since I have been RVing so long I find I do not come here as often as my questions are usually brand specific and I get the answer over there right away. It is all owner driven and we pay what we choose too and that just started as people demanded to have a way to pay.
I'm only looking for ih-45 owners. The thousands of other than ih-45 Foretravel owners cannot help with the ownership of an ih-45 questions. Thanks!

Have not owned one but have owned three Foretravels. The new IH is the best one produced. The fun thing us that they are so well built that we just remodel and keep going. I am on my second remodel and I have 156000 miles on it. There was a FT in just ahead of me with 376,000 miles and one owner. If you want to start with a clean sheet and design your own coach that us a great platform. Flat floor thruout. The foreforum.com will get you more info but they only came out with it a few years ago there are many more GV and U series and Phenix owners on there. That is a testament to the durability of the coach. I see as many 91s- 93s in service as I see newer coaches. My 2001 U320 was top of the line when I bought it. It now has a residential fridge and induction stove and is all electric. I pulled the propane tank and have room for two more 8ds but I only put one in for 4 total. This is a 13 year old coach and it is quiet and not a squeak or rattle.

Have you asked on the Foreforum? There are a lot of Foretravel enthusiasts and a load of knowledgeable folks. As for now, I'm just a wannabe. I've been on the boards for a long time and I've never heard about an unhappy Foretravel owner. Good pick!

No. I'm interested in hearing from ih-45 owners here.
