Dometic Frig error message

I have a Dometic NDA 1402 two door refrigerator I am getting a call er12 error message witch is a heating element in fresh food compartment faulty. however the frig is working fine and the boiler casing is hot and working fine to. Can anyone help with info or thoughts Do i need to replace the heating element?

Heating element is for 'defrost cycle' NOT the one used for cooling cycle

It's a film strip type heating element
