I purchased click and lock vinyl plank flooring for my Motor Home. I would like advice on putting the flooring down as a floating floor or would I be better off glueing it down. I think it would be alot easier to install a floating floor. Thinks in advance for your help.
Floating is what the manufacturer wants and is just fine for an RV. the vinyl planks don't have any more expansion / contraction than a solid one piece vinyl lay. You will be very happy with that flooring when you are done.
In my experience (unfortunately) those are really not good floors in RV's. I much prefer a solid piece of vinyl where nothing "expands" and "contracts".
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.
If read you read the instructions, I don't believe gluing it down is an option. Allow for expansion and leave recommended gaps around margins. Good luck.
