Has anyone had their side fogged windows repaired in Ohio. My Driver Side Window is fogged and needs repaired. Looking for someone to remove from Motorhome, repair and properly reinstall.

I will have to contact SI-GI the manufacturer of my Side Window to see if I am able to purchase just the fixed glass portion instead of the whole window.

I was able to order a replacement pane from Atwood for mine and did the replacement myself. Brand new pane, shipped to my front door was less than $200.00.

Having never done the job before, I found it to be a little involved, but definitely do-able. Removed the retaining ring inside the coach while my wife held the window. Removed it, took the frame apart, replaced the bad pane with the new one and put everything back in place. All in all, it took about 2 hours to do.

I had fogged panes on both sides right where the side view mirrors are. After getting BIG estimates from the local shops, I got a local glass guy to help me pull the driver and passenger windows out. I disassembled the windows myself (didn't want to pay the glass guy a lot to rush through the process). Disassembly consists of removing six screws, then twisting the frame enough to slide out the individual panes. Not difficult for a competent do-it-yourselfer. I then shipped both fogged panes to Suncoast designers for repair. It cost me about $200 to crate and ship, plus $150 each to replace (glass was too damaged to clean). So for less than $800 I got both sides repaired. And I get the 10 year Suncoast warranty on the resealed panes. In my searches of the net, they were the only ones to offer such a warranty.

I contacted Systems Duncan Inc. in Elkhart Indiana since they are the closest to me. They no longer repair fogged windows. I will continue investigating other companies that are near me.

I second RV Fog Doctor in Arkansas. They did a great job on repairing the dual pane window in my entry door. That was almost three years ago - no problem since. They have full hook ups if you need to stay over night or the weekend.

Can you get to FL? If so, there are a couple of companies that specialize in this kind of work and are reasonably priced and well respected. Check out this website but they are not the only ones.

What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

I read your repair for your windows, mine will require separating the glass and scraping the film that has formed, I just purchased this Motorhome and I was quoted $2100 for a replacement window. It is the Driver Side Window in a Airstream Land Yacht XL355.

There are many different styles of dual paned windows. It would help get better advice if you put the make, model, and year of your RV in you signature...or at least in your profile.

Here's how I repaired my windows. I always thought it would be easy to walk a handyman through the process if I wanted to hire someone. It was a '94 Bounder.
