Fuel leak

While fueling I noticed fuel leaking under the left rear of the motorhome. The six inch flex hose on the fuel inlet had a split.

Might be something to check now and then.

My Tradewinds, same thing. The fuel filler line pasted right behind the front wheel duh. When replaced the line I covered vulnerable portion of the line with aluminum sheet, held in place by heavy zip ties.

Some years ago, I had this problem up near the filler neck in a hard to get place. After a few times smearing epoxy on it, I finally got it in the right spot. I also installed a piece of alum. over the generator's exhaust, which was right under the leak and even though, it only smoked a little, it looks really scary to see fuel dripping down on a hot muffler.
Haven't had a problem since, but do realize that these hoses don't last forever.

I just replaced 4 of the 6 hoses on my 02 W22 Southwind. In addition, the seal ring in the filler cap had numerous cracks. I kept smelling gas fumes but could not determine the source.
