Fuse location for lights

I have a 2002 National Sea Breeze (Ford chassis). I am hooking up a dolly to tow a Prius. I was checking out the connector and everything worked -- except in the process I shorted the running light pin to the ground pin. I saw sparks. Now I don't get any power on that pin. Obviously I blew a fuse, but where do I find this fuse?

There are some fuses in a panel beside the driver's seat and some outside in the basement compartment next to the inverter.

Is there an in-line fuse or is the blown fuse in one of these panels? I guess I could pull every fuse out of each panel and look at it, but they don't come out easy and I'm not sure the fuse I'm looking for is even in one of these panels.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks everyone for the help. I now have power to my tow plug for the running lights.

After taking another look under the hood, I found a big (6" x 8") black box right in the center that said, ELectric Distribution Box -- duh.

I finally got it open by releasing a tab on the bottom right corner. There were a bunch of fuses -- big ones and little ones. There was no diagram, just a note saying to see the owners manual.

I checked fuses until I found one of the little fuses that was blown. I replaced it and now everything works.

I'm off Monday to pick up my Acme EZE Tow Dolly at the factory in Kernersville, NC. It's only about 150 miles from where I live, so a nice trip. I plan to stay a couple of days and touring Old Town Salem, NC.

Thanks again for the help.

If you do not have the owners manual which shows them you might be able to call Ford and they might be able to tell you where it is at. Usually it is under the dashboard assembly on the firewall or in the engine compartment as stated earlier.

I don't think you have to take the individual fuses out to check them. With a test light attached to a ground you should be able to probe the top of the fuses and determine which one is blown. JMO

I checked and couldn't find any fuses under the hood, but thanks for the suggestion. What you said makes me think that maybe there is another fuse box somewhere.

On my 2003 F53 chassis there is another fuse box under the hood on the drivers side.
