my kohler generator tries to start on its own checked the switch works fine not sure if it is a control board problem or not?

If your generator is not equipped with auto start, it could be a wiring-related issue.

You need to get with Gjac above his Kohler won't start at all and you can't keep yours from starting.

Welcome to the forum. Need more information. Is this in a motorhome, if so what year, make model, etc. Is there an auto start on the genset? It could be self starting for low batts, program temp sensor in the HVAC etc.
