If it ain't broke, don't fix it. You can spend lots of un-needed dollars on things just trying to "make them new"...As long as you keep up regular maintenance, the thing will give you years and years of trouble free service. I just went through mine and spent a lot of money on it, but only because I plan on keeping it for a while, and the things I replaced didn't work. The roof and dash a/c were two of those items, the carpet was another. It smelled bad and was filthy. I tore it all out and gave the old girl new carpet and vinyl flooring. Looks and smells great inside, and only cost me a few hundred bucks and a few weeks of my time. I love this motorhome...

I agree with glamisorbust. Just drive it and enjoy it. You could start replacing things like the starter and AC compressor just because they're old and may fail eventually, but even the higher-fail items (exhaust manifolds) may last the entire time you own it. I don't replace things until they need replaced. My 92 Winnebago P30 still has the original exhaust manifolds and they work just fine.

I would leave it alone and drive it. Save your money for fuel. My '94 GBM pursuit gets about 8.85 MPG with a tail wind, 65mph. I would only replace the exhaust manifolds if they start to leak or get cracked. Mine are still original manifolds, and 20 years later they still are quiet and get the job done. I have thought about adding a free flowing muffler, but that will cost hundreds. Be sure to check the airbags that are inside of the coil springs up front. They usually only last about 3 years before they need to be replaced. You have a P30 chassis. If the airbags need replaced, skip that and put in something called a "super spring". It is a heavier coil spring designed for more weight. I'm saving my money for the fuel tank! Enjoy your new rig!

Go to www.coachmenrv.com and click on downloads. You should be able to get manuals for your rig there.

hi orchardhill - if you stop by a tire shop they will have a caliper to measure rim width (in inches and 1/100ths like 6.75") and a gauge set to tell you the stud pattern - number of studs plus diameter of the hole pattern. Then you will know what wheel to look for.

I have a 94 Georgie Boy Pursuit 28' 454 and it gets 10 miles to the gallon when I am not pulling a trailer... I would go with stock heat range plugs and use the stock air filter with AC filter.. I replaced the exaust manifolds on mine with headers as they tend to crack and leak over time.. Also change the trans filter..

If not already installed, replace the exhaust manifolds with 'headers'.
