Hi All, I have bought a 2001 pleasure way excel RD, but don't pick it up until next week. I am planning to add solar and trying to get all I need before I pick up the van. So my question is, does anybody own a 2001 pleasure way excel RD same year and model or close, who could measure the size of the battery box so I can work out what size batteries will fit and can order them?

This is a photo, not my camper but it's all I have to go on and as you can see it's not much.

Thanks and hope someone can help

I used to own a 2001 PW Excel on the Dodge chassis, it was an excellent unit and we kind of miss the fuel economy it provided. I don't remember what size of battery was used, it's been too long. Suggest you contact the factory people up in Saskatoon, they were always helpful if I needed something. You can probably find their email contact by checking on their website. Congratulations on buying a PW, they're well made. Some folks talk about handling problems, we never had any and didn't have to do any modifications like sway bars, etc.

Can't help with the measurements but you'll love solar. One solar watt per battery amp hour in Florida will be plenty.
