I am looking for expert advice again from this esteem group of experts.
I own a 2000 Holiday Rambler Imperial 40WDS. Recently, I had alternator issues that cooked the battery and sent a sizable voltage surge thru the coach. Good news, the chassis electrical system is not damaged. Cummins replaced the battery and the alternator, pulled several fuses for the headlights and wipers and I was back on the road. Before the meltdown, the wipers turned on and went very fast, then the entire dash went dark and the coach would not start. Since the fuses for the headlight, the windshield wipers and the other functions from the Smart Wheel were affected, I am thinking it is the control module. And based on the Smart Wheel wiring schematic, it appears one of the power lines runs direct to the ignition switch.
Could an extended surge of more than 18 volts have damaged the Smart Wheel module?
Are there any additional fuses, other than those in the Monaco 1 and Monaco 2 fuses, located in the front driver fuse locker, connected to the module?
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
