Jayco Precept 29UM/Winegard Carryout G2

My Father in Law recently purchased a new Jayco 29UM Precept and the Winegard Carryout G2 portable satellite/Dish TV receiver to go with it.This is his first RV. After having numerous problems with the slide out the first time he used it, he can't get the dish to hookup thru the cable inlet in the wash basin. We can get it to work by bringing the cable right into the coach, but when we hook it up outside and inside to the Aux/Sat, nothing. Anyone had these problems or know what we are doing wrong?

Point being if that cable connection goes through a antenna power injector / splitter it won't pass the control signal. It needs to be a direct feed to the control box.
Most outside cable connections go through said box where they are combined with the OTA antenna cable power on = OTA antenna power off= cable TV

Do you have a switch box inside the RV somewhere to switch from ANT to SAT/Cable?
