Onan Generator

I have a Onan 8000 gen. Ran it all weekend while camping. This morning at 0530 it shut down. All I can find on the control panel is it says service due. Would it just shut down because of that? Checked oil and coolant, and both were good to go.

As far As I can tell it just needs an oil change

Does service due just mean oil change, tune, or something broke? I'm curious a I have the same gen.

Yes it restarted. I talked to a RV Doc and he said that the generator will shutdown when it reaches "service due", which is where it is.
