We were on our way home from Boston, and cutting the trip short because of our holding tank issue. I'm driving at 12:30 am on my 12 and a half hour, in a downpour, and the windshield wipers just stop. They were on high speed, went all the way to the left and just stopped. I immediately pulled over onto the shoulder. Luckily there was almost no traffic. I waited for the rain to slow and pulled into a closed truck weigh station just outside of Sarnia Canada. No fuses were blown. No obviously broken parts, just locked to the left. No clicking. No hot motor. I'm starting to think that used is a better choice than new. Let someone else work out the kinks. Btw it's a 2014 Fleetwood Storm 32H for future research. The motor says Fleetwood not Ford.

I was searching around in the engine compartment this evening and found a blown 30a fuse on a pigtail at the battery. Wipers work now. I really wish they had mentioned this second fuse in the manual. It would have kept the stress level down. I'm still wondering why it blew.

This has nothing to do with the OP's unit but when we rented two fairly new 38 ft. Fleetwood Expeditions... a 2005 in 2005 and a 2006 in 2006... both had inoperable windshield wipers. Thank goodness one worked when I would push the washer feature.... otherwise, I couldn't get the wipers to work on either unit.

It just amazes me that these companies can build these crappy RV's and all the stuff that don't work on them. They really need to learn from auto manufacturers. I guess we need to start looking past the shine and look more at the quality of these units.

You just don't expect things like this to happen on a new unit. I wouldn't be driving that late in a downpour though. I sure am glad you were able to get off the road. Call the dealer and let them know before doing too much because some things may void your warranty.

Remove the elec connector dry it out and reposition it to slow water intrusion...worked for me.
