Ottawa to Thunder Bay

Would like advice on traveling from Ottawa to Thunder Bay. Take the north route thru Val d'Or or the southern route via Sudbury? Driving motorhome with dinghy. One more scenic? Better highway?

I think Kalsbeek means 11 to North Bay, then 17 to Sudbury etc.

You can continue on 11 around through Cochrane, Kap (lived there eons ago!), and Hearst. About same distance, but less scenic, and I would expect the road surface not as good. Some significant fuel-less sections, too. (Hearst to Longlac).

Very familiar with this route.
Suggest you go via hyw 60 trough Algonquin park and then hyw 11 to sudbury and Thunder Bay. Beautiful drive and camp sites in the park very capable of MH towing. We use it often.
