Hi everyone: I just bought a 1993 Pacearrow in general it's in very good condition however with age comes some issues. The one I'm working on now is I can't get the power shut off for the main power to shut off. I've got s 1993 Pacearrow with the 460 Ford engine and 68000 miles on it. The shut off switches are located above the entrance door the cabin switch shuts the power down in the coach but the main won't shut down my question is, is there a relay of some sort connected to the switch and if so where would it be located ? Thanks in advance folks!

If you mean the battery disconnect you can simply just replace it. The job isn't too difficult usually.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Are you plugged in the shore power? The converter will supply coach power, even when the battery disconnect is off. If the circuit board had been changed to a later model, the batteries will not disconnect when on shore power. If the disconnect relay has failed, the previous owner may have wired around it. All sorts of possibilities.

Install a switch on each battery bank then you know they are off.

The battery disconnect for the chassis only shuts down part of the chassis. The switch operates a relay in the battery control center under the hood on the driver's side.

do you mean the battery disconnect
yes that is controlled by a relay
that disconnects the battery from the main HOUSE circuits

be aware, that some circuits are never disconnects such a LP/CO detectors
also depending on the converter location and power center wiring
you will have 12v power, IF you are on shore power, even IF the batteries are disconnected, because the the house circuits are wired 'at the converter'
ans the converter is being powered by 120v shore power

the battery disconnect relay part of the battery control center is up front under the hood hatches,
in your case, I think on the drivers side

the inside switch is just 'signal' that tells the power relay to change
they 'lock' in position, ON or OFF, engaged or open
how many batteries do you have
previous owner might have wired everything to the engine battery and it does not always have a disconnect
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !
