Rear bedroom slide-out mattresses

We have purchased a Sunseeker 2500TS and love it, but the firm mattress on the rear slideout that is split to allow the slide to operate has got to go. We've put a foam topper on it as a quick fix, but wonder if anyone has a tip on a mattress company that makes these split mattresses. Thanks, Lee

Sorry not to familiar with your model, but could you get a memory foam mattress and cut it to fit your needs. When we were looking we found that we needed a odd size mattress and the easiest and cheapest thing to do was to cut a little of the length off of a standard size memory foam mattress to make it fit. We were able to afford a better mattress without having to spend extra on a special size.

Other option would be a custom mattress place like "the Original Mattress Factory" (several stores in the east). They make their mattresses on site and I know of some who have asked for a custom size and it didn't cost them hardly any more than a normal mattress.

We also have a Sunseeker (GTS 2430) and we also have the wedge mattress. At home we have a sleep number mattress and keep both sides at 100. Yes, we like our mattress firm! The RV mattress does feel firmer than our home sleep number. Not sure where to find one softer. Maybe a pillow top?
