Refrigerator On & Off Switch

My coach (08 Monaco Dynasty) has a Norcold Elect/Gas refrigerator in it. We have not used it in a month. We are now going on an extended trip and when I pushed the "on" button, it and the elect/gas button went back inside the plastic cowling that holds the buttons in place. My question is.... has anyone had this happen to them and how do I correct it. If I could get my fingers behind the buttons, I could push them back in place. It looks like nothing is broken.

The plastic cowling that holds the buttons in place feels slightly loose and it feels like it comes off rather easily but I don't want to force anything and possibly break a little snap that holds something in place.

Does anyone know how that plastic cowling that holds the buttons in place comes off?

Just had mine completely apart a while back, it's held in place by phillips screws. Very easy to come off.

Hasn't happened to me with a refer but I do have experience with years of working in the electronics field. I think you might be able to use a plastic pick of some kind and worry the buttons back into place.

My refer's eyebrow can be snapped out with a putty knife so you can access the parts from behind. Not sure yours is that way, but you can check.

The plastic pieces over the door hinges pop off and the screws holding the Optical are then visible. Doug
