Replacement porch light lens clear or Amber?

When I was washing the RV I broke the porch light lens it was pretty fragile. Most of my past RV's always had a amber lens this one was clear. I have heard amber attracts less bugs. Now is the time to change do you notice any difference between the 2 colors? I may just replace the whole light to a LED or at least change the bulb it doesn't light up.

LED is the way to go, but you don't need to replace the whole fixture ! I find that clear lens is much brighter !

We have amber and still get lots of bugs, leave it off most of the time and get our light from the awing lights.

Many bugs cannot see yellow colors so it reduces swarms of insects.

I haven't looked at the bulb maybe it is amber? I need to look the light over good I think I will get an amber lens and put in an LED bulb if the socket is ok.

I put clear on mine the last time because it provides more usable light.

Didn't pay any attention to the bugs and couldn't tell you if there are more or less with it.

I rarely have the porch light on. Can’t see anything in that glare. When light is needed...headlamp.

my experience has been that white light attracts bugs much more so than amber.
