The large slideout motor on my 2005 south wind just broke apart.. the slide is in the full out position.... Have located a replacement on ebay... How hard is it to replace??? Can I do it in the out position? also any info on the lock lever and any thing special to watch for... Any information. on the replacement would be appreciated.......

I'll check out that video because this is good to know. Always been my worry slide motor going out in the middle of nowhere.

the slide being in the out position really helped,I have a 2oo5 southwind and the motor is underneath the slide very easy to change out with no adjustments required. It took about 25 minutes to change,I also used a
higher torqued motor that matched my old one ...worked great...

2005 39L Fleetwood was a simple change once I got the slide out. saved me 1500 dollars.
