Does anyone know where I can get some end links for the sway bar on a '96 Safari Sahara? Have already tried Monaco & International with no luck.

Here is the info I measured for the REAR sway bar bushings on 1997 Safari Sahara leaf spring suspension-- measure yours to verify if they are the same. Very easy to remove one end link nut on each side to drop bar and measure. No jack or other tools needed.

If you find a replacement of the dimension below PLEASE POST or PM me.

Rear sway bar: dimension of the axle plate machined to accept the end link-- they are more restrictive than the sway bar end: Axle plate is 1" thick. Through drilled .75" Centered on the .75" hole is a .25" deep by 1.5" diameter recess above and below. The bolt securing the end link is .5" diameter. SO, the 8 end link bushings need to be: OD: slightly less than the 1.5" to fit into the 1.5" recess (#3 above). Old bushing measures 1.25", but this dimension is not critical as long as it is less than 1.5". ID: 1/2", based on bolt diameter (#4 above). Nipple OD: .75" diameter and up to .25" tall. (Nipple may not be the proper term-- it is the part that fits deepest into sway bar and axle plate.). Diameter to fit into .75" diameter hole (#2 above). Depth to fit into .25" deep recess (#3 above). The sway bar end link attachment point is likewise machined .75" diameter and is .75" thick.

Front ones are available from Hellwig-- at least for our 1997 Sahara.

Have not found an exact replacement for the rears.

What I would call the "sway bar end links" on my Sahara are nothing more than long bolts with appropriate length spacers made from steel tubing, (aka: black pipe).

As built by SMC/Magnum each link is made up of 1 bolt, 4 flat washers, 4 rubber/(poly?)doughnuts, 1 spacer and 1 nut.

5-6 years ago I removed all 4 of my end links and replaced the 4 worn out "doughnuts" on each, (reusing the bolt the washers, the spacers and the nut on each)

Suggest contacting either Redlands Truck /RV in Redlands CA or Hendersons in Oregon. Either or both could probably help.
