I have a Winegard Pathway X1 antenna and a 211z receiver. At night when we go to bed it searches and updates off and on all night. Took it back to Camping World and they said there is 13 volts running through the receiver even when it is off along with the tv. Wingard said that is normal and nothing can be done. Dish said that I can change my updates to the middle of the day which I did and it still scans. I don't want to unplug the receiver every night. Any help from someone would really be appreciated.

You might try something like this remote control. Remember what ever you do needs to have a ground plug.

I would like to leave all night but it scans constantly. Also the wife goes to bed latter and it's mounted above the stove and she can't reach it to unplug it. Might need to move it or find another way my wife can reach it.

My Winegard Pathway X2 with 211z does the same thing. I unplug the receiver at night if I have it installed over the bedroom. Otherwise I don't bother.

The antenna on the roof continually scans all night long. According to Winegard that is normal and they told me to just unplug it when I go to bed.

My 211K does nothing when I turn it off.
