Springs on HWH jacks

We just took delivery of our new to us motor home and one of the springs on our jack is broken. The previous owner said he would get us a new spring, they came two to a package. My question is do I have to replace both springs or can I save the other one in case a different one breaks.
Thanks

IMO that is the best method too. The new, redesigned springs (tapered ends) are somewhat stronger.

that's what I did. found an easy way to replace them. hooked one spring up to one side of mount and bracket. put a small bottle jack under other side/spring of the bracket and eased it up to go into the mount.

I would replace both springs, Then I would order new springs for the rest of the jacks, That is just me, I was taught (long ago) when things have equal work load to replace all related parts to avoid future failures. JMO

Just replace the one, and if the jack retracts as it should save the other.
Enjoy your new motorhome.
