State parks on gulf

We would like to stay in some state parks along the gulf. I was checking into state parks in Texas, Miss.,Al, La and Florida panhandle on the gulf. We will be heading down from Wi shortly after the new year and will be gone at least 6 weeks possibly 8-12. We have a 37 ft class A. Are considering moving around a bit even from state to state and was wondering if anyone had any favorite state parks along the gulf in any of these states. The only reason why I mention state parks is the cost factor. Would consider other RV parks if reasonable. Any suggestions appreciated

Buccaneer State Park in Waveland MS, across the road from the Gulf. Newly rebuilt since Katrina, most excellent location, with full hookups.

Goose Island in south-TX near Rockport and Buccaneer SP in Bay St. Louis, MS are two of our faves!! Buccaneer SP does offer extended stays during the winter season also.

I have to recommend the Ho-Hum RV park at Carabelle, FL. Get a site right on the water and enjoy the scenery of St George Sound.

We like Galveston Island State Park. It's nice and the beaches are expansive and not crowded. It's not blue pretty water or white sands, but nice in its own nature.

Be sure to bring plenty of bug spray to keep mosquitoes off. When we went there were a bunch and the local stores were all sold out of repellent.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.
