2008 Coachmen Freedom Express 21QB. I can hear it -- which is why I'm trying to find it. I'd like to try to silence it.

I can hear it around/under the shower area, driver's side rear of the motorohome. But I'll be dogged if I can find an access panel.

Look under your mattress and see if there is an access port cut out of the mattress support. That is where my 2007 Winnebago Outlook's water tank/pump are.

In my 2008 Winnebago OUtlook the pump is in the first bay on drivers side. That is where I access the valve to dump the fresh water tank and the pump is there next to the tank. Good luck in finding yours.

Hearing the water pump has always seemed like a part of the camping experience. Never thought of it as a annoyance.

The pumps are usually quiet, what noise do you hear?

What you are hearing is most likely not the pump. The pump itself is pretty quite. The noise usally comes from a flexible water line vibrating against a sounding board (wall panel, flooring, cabinet) as the water passes through it. Few manufacturers go through the extra expense of mounting and isolating water lines to keep them from vibrating agaist anything. Coachmen Express is bargain basement, water lines will be laying against whatever was there when they were pulled trough.

Is this a class C with a basement storage area? Is it near the wheelwells?

Many times I have found them near the tank, and that is under the floor in a outside basement compartment on my 97 Bounder by Fleetwood.

My 72 Coachman camper it was near the water tank, under the same cover that you can lift to drain the tank, or check the water level.

Many times it is under the dinette seat, but not in this case. If you have twin beds, try removing the mattress, then look for a removable plywood cover under the mattress.

Look under the RV, you might see what compartment it is in?

I found that by installing a accumulator tank, my water pump is much more quiet. Also flex lines - like found at the hardware store to hook up a 1/2" faucet to the shut off valve will work to take away the noise and vibration!

You do not need to install the accumulator right next to the pump, though that is idea, it can be on another faucet, or a tee anyplace in the lines. If no space near the pump, then install a tee to the line going to your kitchen sink, and hook it up there. It will take out the surging pulses of water pressure that the pump is creating. So best when it is close to the pump as possible, but will work in a remote location too . .

Have fun camping!

Good luck!
