Super C decision. Force or Seneca

I am currently in the market for a Super C. I'm trying to decide between the Dynamax Force and the Jayco Seneca. Both are very similar. I like the looks and decor included in the Force. I believe the Force is full air brake and the seneca only uses air for the parking brake. I drove the seneca a few days ago and I liked it. I'm sure the Force drives the same way. The Force has air suspension. Not sure if it's in the front as well as the rear, or just the rear. Anybody have any input or aspects I may not be considering? I'd love to hear it. This is my first RV purchase.

We purchased a 2014 new Seneca a few months ago. We love it. Coming home to North GA from Raleigh, NC where we purchased it we got 13mpg riding empty of course since we had just purchased. Haven't checked fuel milage pulling our 16' cycle trailer with nearly 2000 lbs of Harley's inside yet. But have heard from other Seneca owners on the Jayco Forum that they are getting between 10 to 11.5 pulling either toads to a vehicle in an enclosed trailer. That is much better than we were getting with our Chevy 3500 pulling our 42' 5th Wheel Toyhauler we traded in on the Seneca. It averaged around 7mpg. We got the 37TS model with 3 slides, 2 up front in the living quarters were we spend most of our time, 1 in the bedroom. Looked at lots of Class C's for several years before trading. Could not find anything we liked better than the Seneca for what we paid. This 14 was at close out price. Right now is a great time to buy as any left over 14 and 15's as they are priced good because their 16's will be hitting their lots soon. Good luck finding the right one for you. Happy Hunting.

I just purchased a used 2014 Dynamax DX3 only 10,000 miles on it. Pick it up next week. Test drove the Force. Wasn't impressed.

Since you are new to this hobby/lifestyle...have you thought about looking into a used Super C.....Buying new has it's pleasures...but I hate the 25-40% loss as I drive out of the parking lot.
For the same price you are going to pay for a new Seneca or Force you could move up in quality in fit & finish by getting into the DynaQuest Xl series or even a GrandSport.
And believe me ...there is a difference between a Force and DX3, difference between a DX3 and a DynaQuest..and so on...
You can find Great deals on used ones...Orignal owners take the depreciation hit,and many have extremely low miles...
Check out Rvtrader.com and select Dynamax and Natiowide...you will get over 100 units....I saw an excellent 2007 38 xl..only 25k miles and it was spotless..plus about 30-40 k cheaper than the Senca or Force...
Take your time and look at all your options...new is great...but saving money and getting a better product is even greater.
Enjoy yourself in anycase

I bought a 2010 Dynamax 340XL new, and while I really liked the styling and the chassis, I was extremely disappointed with the workmanship. The Dynamax was our 5th motor home, so I'm used to the typical RV quality. In all objectivity I would rank the Dynamax in the lower 2 of the units we owned for quality. There was literally no end to the problems we had - and I'm not super picky... We didn't take a single trip without a significant problem popping up. I think it would be fair to say we got a lemon... That was in 2010... Hopefully their quality assurance has improved now that Forrest River owns them. Having said that, we are getting ready to buy another new Super C and have decided on a Jayco Seneca.

Either way you can't go wrong. Does the Dynamax Force have more standard items?

They are both Freightliner so you can't go wrong there, so I think it what you like best I like the Jayco and if I was ever going to buy a C it would be a Jayco. IMOP
